Description
History
Domaine Blain-Gagnard was established in 1980 by Jean-Marc Blain and his wife Claudine Gagnard, heir to a long winemaking tradition. Located in Chassagne-Montrachet, the domaine owns vineyards in some of the most prestigious appellations of the Côte de Beaune, producing wines appreciated for their finesse and typicity.

Production method
- Harvest: Manual harvesting of grapes at optimal ripeness.
- Vinification: Traditional fermentation in stainless steel tanks with temperature control, followed by maceration to extract color and tannins.
- Aging: Maturation in French oak barrels, with a varying percentage of new oak depending on the vintage, for a period between 12 and 18 months.

- Color: Bright ruby red.
- Aroma: Scents of red cherry, plum, and violet, with subtle hints of spices and damp earth.
- Taste: On the palate, it is elegant and refined, with silky tannins and lively acidity balancing the fruity notes of raspberry and redcurrant, accompanied by mineral nuances and a persistent finish.

Pairs perfectly with white meat dishes, such as roasted chicken or guinea fowl, as well as mushroom-based preparations and soft cheeses. Also ideal with French cuisine classics like coq au vin or boeuf bourguignon.
