History
The Brancatelli farm is located in Riotorto, in Tuscany, in the heart of Maremma. Giuseppe is of Sicilian origins and began to appreciate the world of wine from an early age, in Sicily, as his father had land and a small production. In the following years for many years he deals with the distribution of wines in Holland with great successes and only many years later he decides to return to Italy acquiring today’s possessions and creating from nothing what today confirms itself as one of the most prestigious winegrowing and hospitality realities. Maremma growth. Capable of enhancing some native vines of the area such as Ansonica and Aleatico, but also of giving life to some truly top-level Bordeaux blends based on Cabernet and Syrah. Passion and attention to detail are the motto of this company owned by Giuseppe and the oenologist Grassini Graziana, who follows on the technical profile, among others, also Tenuta San Guido and the famous Sassicaia.

Production method
The grapes come from 5 hectare of land on the estate with a south-east exposure where the influence of the sea winds is very present and the soils are mainly composed of clay; already these two elements will give complexity and flavor to the product. The grapes are harvested towards the end of September when fully ripe, rigorously in boxes and by hand, in order to preserve the aromas and integrity of the fruit. The grapes undergo a process of destemming and soft pressing, a short cold maceration and fermentation at a controlled temperature for 15-20 days. At the end of this process, the wine naturally undergoes malolactic fermentation. Subsequently, the product will refine for a very short period in wood and then in steel, and in the bottle for 6 months before being placed on the market.

Tasting notes
It has a ruby red color with violet hues. On the nose sensations of rather ripe red fruit, such as cherry, blackberry and currant, but also some spicy sensations of pepper, tobacco and dark chocolate. In the mouth the body is medium and the wine soft and flowing; the sip is closed by a good acidity and still young but fine tannins. Final that still tends to remember the spicy note of chocolate and licorice.
Possible combinations
This wine is also perfect on a nice platter of cold cuts and tasty cheeses, as it already has an excellent flavor. It can also be combined with first courses and some not too important second courses of meat. Also excellent to drink every day.
