Description
History
Founded in 1999, Tenuta Argentiera is located in the southern part of the Bolgheri DOC area, on the hills of Donoratico, reaching a maximum altitude of 200 meters above sea level. From here, you can admire a panorama of vineyards and a variety of terrains that extend to the horizon of the sea of the Tuscan archipelago.
The name of the estate is a tribute to Podere Argentiera, which was already present in the land registers of the Grand Duchy. Since 2016, the company has been led by Austrian entrepreneur Stanislaus Turnauer, who owns 80 hectares of land. This choice was determined by a deep love for this land. Tenuta Argentiera’s approach is based on cohesive teamwork and the ability to transform the international point of view and the respectful evolution of a territory into wine.

Tasting notes
Intense ruby red colour. A relevant aromatic bouquet emerges on the nose that recalls wild berries, blackberries and raspberries, toasted notes, scents of the sea, cloves and tobacco with a touch of mint. On the palate it is intense and intricate. The tannins are dense and sinuous. The structure of the body is well balanced, in which flavor and freshness blend in perfect harmony. The persistence is textbook, long and characterized by mineral notes.
Possible combinations
Perfect with structured first courses or second courses based on red meat or game, even cooked for a long time, or with medium-aged cheeses.
