Description
History
Domaine Clos du Moulin aux Moines is located between the municipalities of Volnay and Meursault. Family-run estate, cultivating beautiful vineyards in some of the most beautiful areas of Burgundy. Located at the foot of the first hills of the Côte de Beaune, the picturesque village of Monthélie has been famous for its great wines for centuries, dating back to the times when it was under the authority of the Abbey of Cluny. The Monthélie vineyard is located at an altitude between 230 and 370 meters above sea level and enjoys a sunny exposure that goes from east to west.

Production method
The harvest is carried out manually, with selection of the bunches in the vineyard and in the cellar, before proceeding with soft pressing. Fermentation occurs spontaneously, using only indigenous yeasts. Before bottling, the wine matures for 12-18 months in French oak barriques.

Tasting notes
Intense straw yellow color with golden reflections. On the nose, a bouquet characterized by aromas of hawthorn and acacia flowers, aromas of yellow fruit, peach, pineapple, buttery pastry notes and hints of toasted hazelnut and dried fruit. Harmonious and rich, it has an enveloping sip and notable tasting persistence, which flows into a finish characterized by a lively mineral freshness.
Possible combinations
Its ideal pairing is with white meat dishes, especially poultry, but it also goes perfectly with fish and cheeses.
