Description
History
Monte Bernardi dates back to the year 1085. The vine fields are made up of a third who are over 40 years old, a third who are over 13 years old and a third who are less than 10 years old. The first wine was made in 1992. Subsequently, they were sold to neighboring farms. In 2003, the Schmelzer family bought Monte Bernardi and since then have devoted considerable effort, affection and resources to the vineyards, the cellar and the stately home.

Production method
Fermentation and vinification in cement and stainless steel, aged for 18 months in barrels, barriques and tonneaux of various passages.

Tasting notes
Ruby red color with purple hues. On the nose the fruit is evident, with hints of flowers and spices. A touch of anise and cinnamon gives warmth and liveliness to the aroma. The palate opens with a fruity note, recalling spices, and then concludes in a sapid and dry way.
Possible combinations
It goes perfectly with roasted or grilled meat, game and aged cheeses.
