Description
History
Maison Lacourte-Godbillon is a family-run winery located in Écueil, in the Montagne de Reims. Founded in 1968, the estate is now managed by the third generation of winemakers, who continue the tradition with a focus on quality and respect for the terroir. The vineyards cover 8 hectares, planted mainly with Pinot Noir (85%) and Chardonnay (15%), with an average vine age of about 30 years.

Production method
- Harvest: Hand-picked grapes from the Premier Cru village of Écueil.
- Vinification: Fermentation in stainless steel tanks to preserve freshness and fruity aromas.
- Aging: Minimum of 27 months on the lees to develop complexity and structure.
- Dosage: Extra Brut with 3 g/l of sugar.
Alcohol content
- 12% vol.
Tasting notes
- Color: Straw yellow with golden highlights.
- Aroma: Sweet almond and brioche aromas, with notes of ripe fruit and subtle spice.
- Taste: Fresh and concentrated
Possible pairings
Perfect as an aperitif and pairs wonderfully with seafood dishes, shellfish, and crustaceans. It also pairs nicely with white meats and soft cheeses.
